Although Easton’s Ghost X bat series was discontinued in 2019, it continues to haunt pitchers (including me). Power hitters in particular rave about how big the two-piece, composite Ghost X bat’s barrel is while not sacrificing swing speed, which leads to smashing balls on the sweet spot. The most recent 2019 Ghost X evolved from older Ghost models by allowing for very little vibration when you hitters out there get jammed on a filthy inside fastball. The natural evolution from Easton’s legendary Mako bat series, their Ghost X bat line is still highly sought after by hitters of all ages and skill levels. And since a Ghost X bats’ power doesn’t diminish over time, you hitters should expect a power boost when wielding this Easton stick at the dish.

The Rawlings Prodigy youth bat series explains in its name that those who swing it are set for success. The 2022 Prodigy bat is a favorite within USA baseball leagues because of its extremely lightweight feel and red/orange color combination. This is a one-piece, aluminum alloy bat that’s permitted for use at both the high school and collegiate level. Specifically, this bat features the lowest swing weight profile and the fastest swing speed of any bat in Louisville Slugger’s BBCOR lineup. Lastly, the handle features anti-vibration technology to help reduce sting on mishits. In addition, it comes with a custom lizard skin grip to give you exceptional comfort.

It is the most balanced bat Slugger makes, and by sure features the lightest swing of all Louisville Slugger bats. It also comes in a 29-inch length, which we absolutely love. The 618 Solo in BBCOR is one of the best BBCOR bats on the market. It’s a perfect option for a 13 or 14-year-old looking for as much bat speed as possible. It also has a good sized barrel and enough girth to avoid major hand stings on mishits.
