This does not replace conventional skate sharpening, but can repair and de-burr dull edges, as well as reduce time between sharpenings. It can be disassembled to clean and maintain. It does not require any electricity or batteries, so it can be stored in your pocket and used anywhere.This is perfect for pond hockey or other locations that do not have access to a conventional skate sharpener. This was only used for a few sharpenings on a pond hockey trip and has tons of life left. No original box. Originally purchased for $96.36.
