I used these for 2 seasons of travel hockey. They have, as stock, black steel blades which are slightly worn down but that is as expected. Of course, the skates have some slight wear here and there but if I did not grow out of them I could have gotten several more years out of them and so can you. They can definitely be rebaked to fit better as well.
