### Product Description:

The STX Rival Lacrosse Helmet stands out for its blend of affordability and performance, making it a strong contender in the lacrosse helmet market. A key feature is the Sure-Fit Air system, a built-in pump that allows players to adjust the fit for optimal comfort and security on the field. This adjustability caters to players with various head shapes and sizes, ensuring a snug fit that minimizes helmet movement during play. Overall, the STX Rival Lacrosse Helmet prioritizes value and functionality, making it a great choice for mid-level players seeking a comfortable, protective, and budget-friendly helmet. It fits within STX's legacy of offering high-quality lacrosse equipment at accessible price points, catering to both developing and experienced players.

Retaining some of the same similarities as the Stallion 550 and the STX Stallion, the Rival helmet was designed with more aggressive styling hoping to appeal to the masses. The STX Rival Helmet is a huge upgrade from previous STX helmets. It includes a sleek design, 70% better ventilation, a Sure-Fit air system pump on the back to adjust the fit on the fly, and a nice fitted comfort liner.

### What people are saying (edited for clarity and brevity)

PROS:

* Ventilation and on-the-fly air adjustment are a great addition to this model. I added a visor just to give it a little more intimidating look. I definitely would buy another one.
* This is the first custom helmet I bought for my daughter, who is a goalie and entering high school. The helmet fits great and is more comfortable than early stallion models.
* For the price, the STX Rival is a great value. It's a step up from the most basic helmets but without the high price tag of some top-tier options.

CONS:

* The Rival's color selection is a bit boring compared to some other helmets on the market. There aren't many options.
* The Rival doesnt offer the most advanced protection technology compared to higher-end helmets.
* It might take some trial and error to find a good fit.

### Expert notes ([by elite seller Benaround](https://sidelineswap.com/locker/benaround))

Lacrosse players looking for a light and airy helmet on the field should consider the STX Rival. This helmet features an innovative air system, which basically has a built-in pump you can use to adjust the fit for a snug feel throughout the game. No more messing around with pads or straps! The padding is not the most robust on the market, so if you're a super-aggressive player, consider a helmet with a thicker padding system.
