Mustang

### Product Description

The Gait Torque is a throwback offensive head designed for the sport’s top midfielders. It’s legal at the NFHS and youth levels too, so it’s also a great choice for beginner players looking for a strong and durable offensive head. The head is the first from Gait to feature Gait Canted Technology, specifically designed to maximize offset by gradually lowering the bottom rail. The bottom rail is also flattened to optimize pocket customization near the throat and top of the head. The head also features a flat, stiff scoop to provide great stiffness and durability on ground balls. The head also features inside rib support to create unmatched strength and stiffness by adding more plastic to the piece in between the upper and lower sidewall.

### Expert Notes

One of Gait’s best known heads to date is the Torque. It's also one of the most advanced heads of its time, featuring "Gait Canted Technology." This head has one of the most curved scoops in the game. Ground balls with the Torque are a breeze, thanks to the deep angle of the scoop. The Torque also features a super narrow face shape, making it an all around great fit for elite middies. With its innovative sidewall and face shape design, stringing this head to your preference is not difficult. You can create a super solid mid pocket with a beautiful channel that will perform amazingly!

While all aiming to equip well-rounded midfielders, the StringKing Mark 2V, Maverik Tactik 3.0, and STX Stallion 1K each cater to slightly different styles. The StringKing Mark 2V boasts exceptional versatility, offering a mid-pocket that balances powerful shots with controlled passing. Its stiff construction enhances ground ball control and allows for strong holds on the ball during powerful throws. The Maverik Tactik 3.0 prioritizes a blend of power and control through its mid-pocket design and diverse stringing options. It features a slightly less aggressive scoop compared to the Mark 2V, potentially impacting ground ball collection in contested situations. The STX Stallion 1K leans towards a more offensive-focused approach with its aggressive mid-high pocket designed to maximize power in shots. While it excels in generating raw power, it might offer less control on finesse plays compared to the Mark 2V and Tactik 3.0.

### What people are saying (edited for brevity and clarity)

PROS

* This head has stood up to extensive play.
* With 29 holes, the stringing possibilities are endless. If you're a stringer, it truly allows you to hone in on what you seek to get out of the head.
* I am a 2-way middie, and this head has held up for a whole season and summer ball. Has not warped at all and is still very stiff.

CONS

* Spend some time ensuring front and back holes line up or you're in for a headache getting a good lock.
* Not a big fan of the of the proprietary string king head screw.
