* Love this head. Got back into coaching and its bend (and return to shape) is way better than the heads I had back when I was playing in the early 2010s. Makes it easy when I’m working with guys on plungers and reverse clamps.
* Great faceoff head. Good flex and maintains its shape well. Scoop hoovers up ground balls.
* This head has an awesome flex point that lets me control my exits.

* The first time I played with it, the head snapped the first faceoff. The second head warped quickly and cracked again in 2 spots.

This is the face-off specialist of the Mark 2 family. This head is designed for players wanting the best control and durability. The Mark 2F has a shorter throat to make clamping faster and create a quicker reaction time. StringKing’s new material blends stiffness and flex. The Mark 2F also comes in a stiff version (15% stiffer). The shape retention is significantly better.

The ECD Weapon X faceoff head was designed in collaboration with faceoff legend Greg "Beast" Gurenlian. * This lacrosse head is ideal for faceoffs as it bounces back and allows for controlled passes. The trade-off is that it is stiffer than traditional faceoff heads. 
* The stiffness is good for bigger players as the extra weight and strength come in handy during faceoff techniques like plunges.
* This is a great stick to face off and stay in the game without having it warp. 

CONS



* The biggest problem was finding a way to string the head that could match an offensive pocket as well as a face-off pocket. Took a couple of tries.
* The offset takes a while to get used to on faceoffs, and the head needs to be broken in before it’s usable for faceoffs.
* A little stiffer than expected.

The Weapon X was made to compete with the Nike CEO line and is popular amongst faceoff guys throughout college. The idea is that it will flex the same every single time. So, it won't flex a little bit lower; it won't flex a little bit higher. It will flex in the same spot, holding the same shape with its warp resistance technology. The throat of the head was made to be as pinched as possible without becoming illegal, so right around that 3” requirement.

* Great head for faceoffs and midfield play. Opted for a mid-pocket. A versatile and legitimate head for both faceoffs and on-field use.
* Lots of side holes are available to string low, mid, or high pockets. It’s even good to use for a traditionally strung head.
* This head is sweet, with a flexible head that shoots like a regular one. This is a perfect head for someone who takes some faceoffs but is not a fogo.

CONS



* This head requires a significant break-in period to feel comfortable, can’t use it for the face-off right away. 
* Don’t love the pre-strung pocket.
* Some cracking on the sidewalls after extended use.

The STX Duel 3 is designed for the face-off and stay-on midfielder. This head is made with STX’s Reflex material to help hold the shape a lot longer, so you can continue to use it for offense or defense after the face-off. The top of the head has a slimmed-down scoop that’s designed for face-offs and to make ground balls easier. It has a shorter throat to make the top hand position closer to the ball for more control. It has 4 screw holes on the throat to ensure the head doesn’t rattle.
