STX Shield lacrosse goalie gloves offer the perfect balance of protection and stiffness for beginner and intermediate goalies who are looking to be a brick wall in the cage. The gloves feature a Fixed Thumb Guard, which locks the thumb into place with a very strong thumb plate to reduce the impacts of shots to the hand. The thumb plate also hinges forward on the last knuckle to help cover a larger area of the thumb. The back of the glove is built with reinforced protection and strength in areas that tend to receive the highest rate of impacts. In addition, the glove features a single, nash palm piece to provide excellent grip and feel.
