PROS:



* These skates offer a significant jump in performance over entry-level skates. The Flex Composite boot provides a good balance of stiffness for powerful strides and some flex for maneuverability. They're perfect for skaters who want to improve their game without breaking the bank.
* The Vapor 3X fits true to size and feels comfortable right out of the box. The 40-ounce felt tongue with comfort lining offers good support and reduces pressure points. The asymmetrical toe cap also seems to help with a snug fit around the toes.
* Skate has a good amount of higher end features and has good interior support. We upgraded the foot beds to super feet since the include ones are typical unsupported foam. All in all a very good middle of the line skate for not a lot of money.

CONS:



* Skilled players who are used to top-of-the-line skates might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible. The flex profile is geared towards balance and maneuverability, which can sacrifice some energy transfer for powerful strides. 
* Blade holder cracked after a deflection during a game, and the material of the boot is already falling apart. Had these for about 4 months before having to buy Hyperlites because of the poor construction.
* The Vapor 3X doesn't offer any heat-molding capabilities and while the liner is comfortable…I have some wicked pressure points and am disappointed with the customization options.

The 3X was released close to the HyperLite, which was a revolutionary skate at the time, so it kinda got lost in the mix. It's still a good skate and very similar to the 3X Pro model but without as much comfort. It's a mid- to upper-level fully composite skate with a felt tongue and a hydrophobic liner with a great grip.

Similar to the 3S, the Pro version has even more bells and whistles. It features the classic pro tongue with molded inserts for a customized fit. It still has the classic Supreme composite boot and higher-level comfort foam. The higher the level of skate, the more comfort in the foam, and usually, the less time it takes to break in. You still see the 3S Pro in the NHL, and they hold up well. You can also quickly change out the blades and keep going. Players use them for years without any kind of loss in performance in terms of power.

This skate is intended for people who skate about once a week and are not super competitive. It'll hold up. If you skate ten times a week with these skates, they will only last you a little while, maybe a month or two. However, the main thing is that there is no quick or easy release for the metal runners or the blades. Many players look for skates with a metal release, which will let them swap out their blades. The more you sharpen them, the thinner they get. And in this case, you'd have to replace the whole bottom, the holder. It's more intensive than just clicking a button and adding new blades. But really, a solid skate for those who don’t skate every day.

* After getting them baked they are unreal. Feels like a pair of sneakers. The LS Pulse blades took some time getting used to for a beginner like me but after a few sessions they’re solid and they make skating somewhat easier. 
* These skates are awesome and super stable. For me there was a slight learning curve (probably more so because I have been skating in the wrong size for a good portion of my life) but these skates are game changers. The glide, the comfort, the stability, everything.

CONS:



* While the stiffness is good for intermediate players, some advanced skaters might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible for their needs. If you're a powerful skater who demands maximum energy transfer, you might want to consider a stiffer boot from the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite or Supreme lines.
* I like my skates tied tight. And due to this, the top eyelets of these skates did not last much beyond the warranty period. 
* The hard plastic eyelet material is impossible to get tight around upper foot and ankles. The boot is very low volume and shallow so I had to swap out for Supremes. Toe box is great though.

* To me, these skates feel like they are on the softer side. While that might be good for beginners, it's not ideal for powerful skaters who need a stiffer boot for maximum energy transfer.  
* The liner doesnt seem partifiualy durable.  I'm a little worried about how they'll hold up with long-term use, especially because I’m a frequent skater.
* The break-in period for these skates wasn't the shortest. It took a few sessions for them to feel truly comfortable.  If you're impatient, this might be a bit of a drawback.

I've had these many times; it's a mid-tier, performance-level skate where you can undoubtedly play a few seasons (probably not in the NHL), but in University, high-level competitive play. The X2.7 has a quick-release holder, and the Vapor fit will be a bit lower, snug, and flexible. The top-level pro-Vapors might last you three years, whereas these might last one and a half two years, but it's the same kind of comfort. It just comes down to your abilities.

The main thing regarding the X500 is the lack of stiffness throughout the boot relative to some of the higher end vapor models. For someone skating 1-2 times per week, they work quite well and are priced on the lower end of the spectrum, which is ideal if you’re on a budget. The low level of boot stiffness does allow for greater comfort initially, and they are super easy to break in and get used to. The entire line of Vapor skates has always been a good looking line of skates as well, as they all tend to stick to the all-black boot with red detailing.

CCM’s signature skate release for 2015 was the all-new CCM Jetspeed. It’s a top-to-bottom redesign that replaces the now-discontinued RBZ. 

The RBZ skates were much wider and had a lot of negative space. They also had a problem with heel lock, which caused skaters to slip out of their heels. This led to skaters overtightening their skates, damaging the quarter packages and eyelets on the lacing. CCM seriously considered these issues when designing the new and improved, full composite JetSpeed ice skates. The upgrades to the Jetspeed line include: 



* 40 grams lighter than their RBZ predecessor
* Contoured RocketFrame™ full composite boot. 
* Double-stitched tendon guard to improve their durability.
* A JetProtect tongue. The first layer of the tongue contains thick felt, then a layer of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) foam, and finally, a layer of HD (High Density) foam. The outer portion of the tongue features a protective ridge for the laces to rest upon, a "heavy weapon" in the battle against lace-bite.

* These skates are a fantastic option for beginner to intermediate players. They offer a good balance of comfort, performance, and affordability. The boot is supportive enough for learning proper technique, and the steel provides decent edge control.
* The boot feels nice and lightweight. It allows for quick turns and good responsiveness, which is exactly what I was looking for.  My skating feels more dynamic.
* The heat-moldable liner is a great feature for getting a more personalized fit. I was able to get rid of some pressure points around my ankles, which makes a big difference in comfort for longer skates.

* These skates felt a bit too soft for me. I couldn't get the same level of energy transfer as with a stiffer boot. If you're a more advanced player who needs maximum power transfer, you might want to consider a higher-end model.
* I've seen some mixed reviews about the durability of these skates.  While they seem fine for now, I'm a little worried about how they'll hold up with long-term use.

The 250 doesn't have the quick-release holder, so you'd have to replace the bottom, but in most cases, for a recreational skater or someone just learning, it’s a great skate.
