These are tour-inspired wedges created and designed by Roger Cleveland, and are crafted specifically to help golfers achieve more versatility on shots and better spin from any position on the golf course. Forged from soft 1020 carbon steel for the best control and feel, the Mack Daddy 2 wedges feature laser milled micro grooves for added spin and control. The wedges are available in a variety of different grinds including the C grind for the most versatility, the U grind for added bounce, and the Standard grind with a more traditional sole and playability. The Mack Daddy 2 wedges come available in two finish options including chrome and slate.

### Expert Notes

These Callaway Mack Daddy 2 wedges feature a premium forged designed with an aggressive groove pattern. In fact, the grooves are 39 percent bigger than the original Mack Daddy. At address, the head is a good size for better players and doesn’t feel too compact. You will be able to flight these very well, and control them easily. Paradym

#### Product Description

The Callaway Paradym Fairway Wood boasts a progressive shaping design to cater to a wide range of golfers. Key features include Callaway's Jailbreak with Batwing Technology, an A.I. designed structure that stiffens the body while allowing the face to flex for maximum ball speed and distance. The Paradym Fairway Wood also features a Forged Carbon sole for exceptional weight redistribution, leading to a higher Moment of Inertia (MOI) for more forgiveness on off-center hits. While distance and forgiveness are priorities, the Paradym Fairway Wood doesn't neglect green performance. The technology that helps generate ball speed also aids in accuracy, promoting a penetrating ball flight that holds its line well in the wind.

**Perfect club for:** Golfers who want a high launching fairway wood with a neutral ball flight.

#### Key features include:

- **Jailbreak with Batwing Technology:** Stiffens the body of the clubhead for increased stability at impact while allowing the face to flex for high ball speed.

- **Forged Carbon Sole:** Enables weight redistribution for maximized distance and high MOI.

- **A.I. Designed Face:** Optimized face for speed, launch, and spin across the hitting surface.

- **Progressive Shaping Design:** The head shape and profile are designed to optimize launch and playability for different fairway woods within the set (typically 3-wood, 5-wood, 7-wood, etc.)

- **Adjustable Hosel:** The 3W and 3HL models allow players to fine-tune loft (and sometimes lie angle) to optimize launch and trajectory for a more personalized fit.

#### Top competitors comparison: [TaylorMade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/taylormade/stealth-2-3/l345130) and the [Ping G430 Max Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/ping/g430-4/l322587)

Similar to the Paradym, the Stealth 2 prioritizes distance and forgiveness. However, TaylorMade achieves this through increased carbon fiber content in the crown and their V Steel technology for turf interaction. The 3D Carbon Crown on the Stealth 2 allows for weight redistribution to promote a lower center of gravity for higher launch angles. While offering distance, Ping places more emphasis on forgiveness with the G430 Max. Their signature movable weight technology allows for customization to promote a draw bias and straighter ball flight. The G430 Max may be a better choice for golfers who slice the ball more often due to its draw bias technology.

#### Progression:

The Paradym Fairway Wood takes the distance capabilities of its predecessor, the Rogue ST Max, to the next level. Here's a breakdown of the progression and key improvements:

**Callaway Rogue ST Max Fairway Wood (2022):**
- Introduced Callaway's A.I. Flash Face Technology, a variable thickness face designed using Artificial Intelligence to optimize ball speeds across the hitting surface for more distance.
- Offered a titanium body construction.

**Callaway Paradym Fairway Wood (2023):** Builds upon the distance potential of the Rogue ST Max Fairway Wood while incorporating advancements in forgiveness and performance through:
- **Jailbreak with Batwing Technology:** This technology replaces the titanium body with an A.I. designed structure that stiffens the body for stability and allows the face to flex for more ball speed on off-center hits.
- **Forged Carbon Sole:** A lightweight forged carbon sole allows for weight redistribution throughout the clubhead, leading to a higher Moment of Inertia for greater forgiveness.
- **Progressive Shaping Design:** The Paradym Fairway Woods has various loft options with progressively shaped heads to optimize launch and playability for different fairway woods within the set.

#### What people are saying (edited for clarity and brevity)

**PROS:**

- I love this club. It flies high, stops on green, and is a great fit at 145-150 yards for me.
- The Paradym launches at a nice trajectory and does it eaisly. No need to swing hard as the weighting system does all the work.
- I’m happy with the 3HL. Easy to hit from the fairway, flies straight with good height. Excellent off tee, straight with good distance.

**CONS:**
- My only complaint is the glossy top coat, I much prefer the flat coating on my Rouge.
- Great off tee and fairway...poor in the rough.
- No way around it, Paradym clubs are expensive.

Paradym X

#### Product Description

The Callaway Paradym X Fairway Wood caters to golfers seeking maximum power and easy launch, making it ideal for golfers who struggle with finding the fairway or maximizing distance from the tee box. A key feature is the A.I. Designed Jailbreak Batwing Technology. This innovative structure incorporates artificial intelligence to optimize weight distribution and stiffness within the clubhead. The result is a highly stable clubhead that promotes faster ball speeds across the face for explosive distance, even on off-center hits. Additionally, the Paradym X Fairway Wood has a forged carbon toe patch. This lightweight material redistributes weight towards the heel of the club, promoting a draw bias that can help golfers who slice find more fairways and straighten out their ball flight.

**Perfect club for:** Golfers looking for a forgiving shape with a high launch and a slight draw bias.

#### Key features include:

- **Forged Carbon Toe Patch:** Redistributes weight towards the heel of the club making this fairway easy to turn over.

- **A.I.-Designed Jailbreak Batwing Technology:** This structure promotes stability in the body at impact, allowing the face to flex and increasing ball speed and distance.

- **A.I. Designed Face:** Optimized face thickness and curvature across the hitting surface, maximizing ball speed, launch characteristics, and spin for consistent performance.

- **Tungsten Speed Cartridge:** Incoporates up to 25g of high-density tungsten, pushing the center of gravity low and forward. This results in the optimal launch and spins with enhanced speed.

- **High Launch Performance:** Built with an upright lie angle and a neutral face at address. The forgiving shape produces a high launch with a slight draw bias and an adjustable 3W.

#### Top competitors comparison: the [TaylorMade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/taylormade/stealth-2-3/l345130) and the [Cobra Aerojet Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/cobra/aerojet-4/l322862)

Similar to the Paradym X, the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood prioritizes distance and forgiveness for a wide range of golfers. However, TaylorMade achieves this through advanced face technology and a Thru-Slot Speed Pocket. Their Inverted Cone Technology creates a larger sweet spot for more consistent distance, while the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket allows for more face flex on lower hits. The Cobra focuses on distance, forgiveness, and high launch with the Aerojet Fairway Wood. They achieve this through weighting strategies and their Baffler Rails technology. Weighting with strategically placed sole weights promotes a lower center of gravity for potentially higher launch and forgiveness. Baffler Rails on the sole help the clubhead glide through various lie conditions, even thick rough.

#### Progression:

The Paradym X Fairway Wood takes the Rogue ST Max's distance potential to the next level. Here's a breakdown of the progression and key improvements:

**Callaway Rogue ST Max Fairway Wood (2022):**
- Offered a titanium body construction.
- Featured Callaway's A.I. Flash Face Technology, a variable thickness face designed using Artificial Intelligence to optimize ball speeds across the hitting surface for more distance.
- Had a more traditional fairway wood head profile.
- Did not have an adjustable hosel (except for the Rogue ST Max OS model).

**Callaway Paradym X Fairway Wood (2023):** The Paradym X Fairway Wood builds upon the Rogue ST Max's foundation for distance with advancements in forgiveness, performance, and design:
- **Industry-First 360° Carbon Chassis:** This replaces the titanium body with a lightweight carbon fiber construction throughout a larger portion of the clubhead. This weight saving creates a significantly higher Moment of Inertia (MOI) for exceptional forgiveness on off-center hits.
- **Jailbreak A.I. Technology:** This innovation incorporates Artificial Intelligence to design an internal structure that promotes stability in the body at impact. This allows the face to flex more efficiently for increased ball speed and distance potential, even on mishits.
- **Generously Stretched Profile:** The Paradym X Fairway Wood has a larger head profile than the Rogue ST Max. This can inspire confidence at address and offer a bigger sweet spot for more forgiveness on off-center hits.
- **Adjustable Hosel (Model Dependent):** Unlike most Rogue ST Max models, some Paradym X Fairway Woods come equipped with an adjustable hosel. This allows golfers to fine-tune the loft to optimize launch trajectory and ball flight for their swing and course conditions.

#### What people are saying (edited for clarity and brevity)

**PROS:**

- This club is very forgiving. It has given me 10+ yards. My ball flies straight. This is by far the best fairway wood I have ever used.
- Love that I can strengthen or weaken the loft on this fairway wood.
- In both dry and wet conditions, the stock Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips (52g) hold up and provide plenty of grip.

**CONS:**
- It is difficult to determine where the mishit occurred. This may not be the best option for someone who needs to make adjustments throughout the round.
- The ability to work the ball is limited.
- I really thought I would get more loft on my ball. Disappointed.
