This is a player’s iron built for game-improvement, and features a clean, classic, and compact look with incredible playability and workability. Constructed from 431 stainless steel, the thin clubface design increases moment of inertia (MOI) for extreme forgiveness. Ping i200 irons have a thicker top portion of the face and a thinner lower portion to reduce the center of gravity (CG) for higher launch and increased ball speeds. These high-launching and long-distance irons create a solid and powerful feel with a crisp acoustic upon impact. The i200 irons are aesthetically pleasing with their hydropearl chrome finish and come standard with the AWT (Ascending Weight Technology) 2.0 stock shaft.

Winner of the 2012 Golf Digest Editor’s Choice Award, the Ping i20 Irons offer distance and shot-shaping control for more advanced golfers. The progressive head size and offset throughout the set is a key feature design to the i20 irons. The longer irons are high-launching and more forgiving while the shorter irons feature less offset and enhance shot control. A vertical Custom Tuning Port (CTP) creates a lower center of gravity (CG) for optimal launch conditions and different options for weight positioning. Stabilization Bars in the cavity improve the overall feel while the thicker face is extremely responsive and ensures distance control. A high-density tungsten toe weight optimizes forgiveness and improves a high-launch trajectory with low spin.


### Expert Notes

Ping i20 irons are a huge change to the i15’s, with a non-glare satin chrome finish. They feature a new CTP in the back of the head that stabilizes the iron throughout the swing, and the new sole design enhances turf interaction. Look for a smaller head size and new offset, which gives these irons a new look and feel. Shorter irons can be flighted lower and longer irons will stay in the air a little longer for softer landing shots onto the green.

Ping G25 Irons offer game improvement performance and appeal to players of all abilities. The G25 Irons have a low center of gravity (CG), which helps produce high-launching shots. These irons are extremely forgiving, and deliver better results on off-center hits. The Custom Tuning Port that’s integrated into the bottom of the sole helps to lower CG and increase moment of inertia (MOI). The longer irons have slightly larger sole widths to launch shots with a higher trajectory, while the short iron soles are designed for versatility and control. The heel and toe support bars and low-toe weighting system help stabilize the face upon impact. With a new vibration dampening medallion on the back of the face, the overall feedback and feel of these irons is excellent.

### Expert Notes

Ping’s G25 irons are extremely forgiving, and this is now Ping’s sixth installment in the stainless steel game-improvement iron series. Much like the G20, these irons are now created with a different topline, sole width and offset than the G20. This maximizes playability. The G25’s sole width becomes narrower as the irons move from 3 iron to PW. You will also notice the custom tuning port lower behind the face. The port is near the sole to help improve your feel of the club. These clubs have a great look and are just all around fun to play with -- we’d recommend them for any player.

### Expert Notes

The i25 irons are the newer model of the i20’s, with a few advancements. These irons are best suited for more advanced players, but a 10 handicap may get away with using them too. You will find the i25’s feature a bigger cavity, and the soles are wider to help with forgiveness and to get the ball up in the air. You may even hear a hollow sound when you hit them due to the large cavity, but don’t let that throw you off your game. The CTP is lower and less noticeable than it was in the i20’s. These clubs look cleaner and are extremely easy to hit. You will feel very comfortable playing with these.

The Ping G20 Iron is the ultimate game improvement iron and replaces the successful previous model, G15. Designed for beginner players, the G20 will help players maximize distance and forgiveness while maintaining consistency on shots across the face. The 17-4 stainless steel head is perimeter-weighted and features an extremely thin face for maximum game improvement. All of the weight saved from thinning out the face was re-distributed to the perimeter of the clubhead for increased moment of inertia (MOI) and a high launch trajectory. The Floating Custom Tuning Port in the cavity enhances both sound and feel while also minimizing distance gaps between center and off-center strikes. ### Expert Notes

The Ping G20 irons are the replacement for the G15 irons. They feature a wider sole which adds forgiveness. The clubhead sits well behind the ball at address. Thanks to the extra weight in the sole, the ball flight will be slightly higher than the G15’s. It is one of the best irons for the mid handicapper looking for a quality iron. These game-improvement irons have their own shaft engineered by Ping. The thinner face combined with the CTP port creates faster ball speed, better feel and increased accuracy on shots.

One of the most proven and best-selling models of its time, the Ping G30 Irons won’t sacrifice distance for forgiveness. Longer and more forgiving than its predecessor, the G25, these irons make the game easier to play. An Undercut Cavity design moves the center of gravity (CG) lower to increase a higher launch trajectory and make it easier to get the ball launched into the air. The Longer Blade lengths impact perimeter weighting in order to increase moment of inertia (MOI) for added forgiveness. The Custom Tuning Port (CTP) is positioned lower in the G30 irons in order to support the face and result in improved consistency and enhanced sound and feel.

### Expert Notes 

With stronger lofts, you will generate an average of 3-7 more yards here with the Ping G30 irons. Superior turf interaction combined with undercut cavities gives these irons easy distance and feel. The short irons launch a bit lower, but spin more so consistency should be your focus here. The face is also slightly thicker, so the feel will be much softer. The mid and long irons are created with maximum distance and forgiveness in mind. All in all, these are very good looking clubs and are fun to play with. They are definitely an upgrade from the G25 irons in terms of sound and feel.
