These irons feature an advanced dual cavity design with a Tour-proven profile of progressive weighting, variable face thickness, and sole widths. The innovative tungsten weighting helps to optimize center of gravity (CG) so the long irons have a lower CG for an easier launch and the short irons have a higher CG for a more workable trajectory that most players prefer. Each iron is specifically designed to match the loft characteristics, so the long irons have thinner faces than the short irons, allowing more flexion at impact. The AP2 714 Irons feature a pre-worn leading edge and extra camber in the sole to improve turf interaction. Constructed from 1025 forged carbon steel, the AP2 offers a soft feel and pure sound.

The Titleist AP2 714 irons are multi-material forged irons, each of which is designed with various sized cavities depending on the loft. At impact, you will get a lot of positive feedback. Center hits will be smooth, with no vibration. Every club in this set is super forgiving. The 714’s are one of the highest MOI irons on the market and even low single-figure players can game these. These are premium player irons, best suited for more advanced golfers. The Apex Pro Irons use a 360 Face Cup. Essentially, this makes the irons faster. This also helps with off-center hits. Inside each head is around 50g of tungsten. In the longer irons, the CG is positioned lower towards the toe to help with ball speed on off-center hits. In the shorter irons, it is slightly higher to increase ball flight. Compared to the Apex CF 19 irons, the Pro’s have less offset and a thinner top line.
