These are premium player irons, best suited for more advanced golfers. The Apex Pro Irons use a 360 Face Cup. Essentially, this makes the irons faster. This also helps with off-center hits. Inside each head is around 50g of tungsten. In the longer irons, the CG is positioned lower towards the toe to help with ball speed on off-center hits. In the shorter irons, it is slightly higher to increase ball flight. Compared to the Apex CF 19 irons, the Pro’s have less offset and a thinner top line. Overall, these are quality irons for lower handicappers.

The head is larger and the shaft is shorter than the XR’s, but we can tell you that the Steelhead XR’s are among the most powerful and forgiving irons on the market right now. You will experience a medium amount of offset upon address, and the top line looks very similar to the X2 Hot irons. Lastly, it should be noted that these are cavity back irons; if that’s your preference, the Callaway XR’s are a great option.
