### Product Description

TaylorMade M4 Fairway Woods deliver straight distance, balanced power, and ultimate performance. The larger footprint and low-profile shape make the M4 Fairway easy to launch for overall playability. The advanced Speed Pocket design combined with Inverted Cone Technology work together to optimize ball speed, maximize distance, and increase forgiveness. The Geocoustic Technology blends geometric and acoustical engineering to harmonize sound and feel at impact. These woods are designed with split internal weights, which allow you to distribute weight evenly between the heel and toe to provide increased moment of inertia (MOI), forgiveness, and greater consistency. The sleek and contrasting crown enable an accurate alignment at address, while the TM Dual Feel 360 Grip provides for an overall great feel of the club.

### Expert Notes

The M4 fairway woods can be described as one of the hottest and best-selling clubs on the market with Fairway Power Plus ultimate forgiveness. The Inverted Cone design on the inside of the face increases ball speed on off-center hits. It has a slightly larger head than you may be used to, but it is also more forgiving. The speedpocket is still in existence and has a calmer look when it addresses the ball. It is similar to the M3 and has the same head materials, but has a little more spin and a high level of ball speed.

Stealth 2

#### Product Description

The TaylorMade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood caters to a wide range of golfers seeking powerful performance from the fairway or tee box. It accomplishes this through a combination of technologies designed to deliver long, playable shots. A key feature is the 3D Carbon Crown. This innovative design shaves weight from the top of the club head, allowing TaylorMade to redistribute mass for a lower center of gravity (CG). This lower CG promotes a higher launch angle for more carry distance and better overall forgiveness on off-center hits. The proven V Steel Sole technology features a strategically curved leading edge that helps the clubhead glide smoothly through various lie conditions, even in thick rough or wet fairways. Smoother clubhead contact can lead to more efficient energy transfer for increased ball speed and distance potential.

**Perfect club for:** Golfers who struggle with a slice or who are looking for more forgiveness on off-center hits.

#### Key features include:

- **3D Carbon Crown:** This weight-saving carbon fiber allows for more mass to be strategically placed in the club head for a lower center of gravity.

- **Lower Center of Gravity:** A lower CG helps generate higher launch angles, which in turn produce more distance and increased forgiveness on off-center hits.

- **Variable Thickness Face with Inverted Cone Technology:** Creates a larger sweet spot and increases ball speeds across the hitting surface.

- **V Steel Sole Design:** A TaylorMade staple, this sole promotes better turf interaction for smoother club head passage through the ground, especially on mishits.

- **Multiple Loft Options:** Allows for customization to ensure optimal launch characteristics and distance gapping within your set.

- **Available in Three Models:** Similar to the driver, the Stealth 2 Fairway comes in three models (Stealth 2, Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2 HD) to cater to different golfer needs. Each model offers variations in adjustability, launch characteristics, and forgiveness levels.

#### Top competitors comparison: the [Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/callaway/paradym-triple-diamond/l406998) and the [Titleist TSR3 Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/titleist/tsr3-inventory-api/l318768)

Similar to the Stealth 2, the Paradym Triple Diamond prioritizes distance and performance. It utilizes Callaway's A.I. Designed Jailbreak Technology to promote stability and ball speed across the face for more distance potential, even on off-center hits. Additionally, most Paradym Triple Diamond models offer an adjustable hosel and internal weight system for fine-tuning launch and trajectory. Among these three options, the Titleist TSR3 boasts the most adjustability, appealing to golfers who desire maximum control. It features an adjustable hosel, a SureFit Adjustable CG Track System with multiple weight positions, and an adjustable face angle setting. This allows for the most comprehensive fine-tuning of launch, spin, and ball flight.

#### Progression:

The TaylorMade Stealth Fairway Wood preceded the current Stealth 2 Fairway Wood. Here's a breakdown of the progression and key upgrades:

**TaylorMade Stealth Fairway Wood (2022):** Introduced a Carbonwood construction, featuring a carbon fiber face for the first time in a TaylorMade fairway wood. This resulted in increased ball speed and distance potential. It also offered a titanium body design.

**TaylorMade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood (2023):** Maintains the distance benefits of the carbon fiber face but goes further in the forgiveness department. Here's how they achieved this:

- **3D Carbon Crown:** This technology utilizes carbon fiber to save weight. This allows for more mass to be strategically placed in the club head for a lower center of gravity.
- **Lower Center of Gravity (CG):** The weight redistribution from the 3D Carbon Crown promotes a lower CG, leading to higher launch angles for more distance and increased forgiveness on off-center hits.
- **Refined Variable Thickness Face with Inverted Cone Technology:** This improved design offers a larger sweet spot with increased ball speeds across the hitting surface for longer distance, even on mishits.

#### What people are saying (edited for clarity and brevity)

**PROS:**

- Great club. Can align to target line with confidence. Feels good through impact.
- The club feels good in my hands. It's well-balanced and lightweight. The shaft is perfect for me. It's a beautiful golf club.
- Flies high and hits straight off the tee. Forgiving but still able to shape shots.

**CONS:**
- Hands down, the Ping and Callaway were much easier to hit. Their profiles are much shallower than the Stealth.
- It's not as long as the original stealth fairway wood. This version has too much spin, and the standard stock options do not promote speed and distance.
- It's a decent club. I'm not really a fan of the hozzle. It functions well and just looks a bit funky.

SLDR

### Product Description

TaylorMade SLDR Fairway Woods feature revolutionary Speed Pocket Technology and can help players of nearly any skill level hit longer, more consistent shots from the fairway, tee or light rough. The Speed Pocket is positioned behind the face and flexes at impact to increase ball speeds, add distance, and promote better forgiveness. The center of gravity (CG) is positioned lower and closer to the face for increased ball speed and reduced spin. The SLDR features a low-profile face for a lower sweet spot to help get the ball launched easily into the air. TaylorMade SLDR Fairway Woods come standard with either a Fujikura Speeder 77 shaft or the Tour-Preferred Fjuikura Motore Speeder TS 8.3 shaft and 55-gram FCT Lite grip.

AeroBurner

### Product Description

TaylorMade AeroBurner Fairway Woods feature aerodynamic shaping and a re-designed Speed Pocket to give golfers faster clubhead and ball speed for maximum distance. An enlarged Speed Pocket allows the face to flex more at impact and increases the size of the sweet spot, reduces spin, and provides consistent speeds even on mis-hits. The Aerodynamic Design with a raised center crown, shallow face, and hosel fin help reduce drag and provide faster clubhead speed for greater distance. The club is aesthetically pleasing with its high strength Ni-CO 300 alloy face and white matte finish with a linear crown graphic for easy alignment.

### Expert Notes

Speed, speed and more speed. That’s what the TaylorMade Aeroburner fairway wood is known for. You’ll first notice how light the club feels overall, despite the shaft being a little longer than compared to standard woods. The white crown contrasted with the black face helps with alignment. Look closely and you will see the crown has a raised center, which helps the club slice through the air more quickly. This club is not adjustable, so there’s nothing to mess around with. Just step up to the tee and swing! The sound is a little more hollow than what you may be used to, but it’s not a distraction.

Stealth 2 HD

#### Product Description

The TaylorMade Stealth 2 HD Fairway Wood is ideal for golfers who struggle with finding the fairway or maximizing distance from the tee box on longer holes. A key feature is the oversized 200cc head with a low-profile design. This larger clubface inspires confidence at address, while the lower center of gravity promotes a higher launch angle for more carry distance and better forgiveness on off-center hits. Additionally, the V Steel Sole technology helps with turf interaction for smoother clubhead passage through various lie conditions, even in thick rough or wet fairways. While distance and forgiveness are priorities, the Stealth 2 HD Fairway Wood doesn't neglect accuracy. The larger clubface and draw-bias design can help golfers find the fairway more consistently.

**Perfect club for:** Golfers seeking forgiveness and distance from their fairway woods.

#### Key features include:

- **Oversized 200cc Head:** Features an ultra-high MOI construction and combines low CG projection with an oversized 200cc head to increase confidence and playability.

- **Lower Center of Gravity (CG):** A lower CG promotes a higher launch angle for more carry distance off the fairway or tee box. A higher launch can be beneficial for golfers who struggle to get the ball airborne easily.

- **V Steel Sole Technology:** A strategically designed sole with increased rounding at the leading edge. This helps improve turf interaction and versatility.

- **Inverted Cone Technology:** Creates a variable thickness face design. A thinner face in the center and a thicker surrounding area lead to more ball speed and distance potential across the hitting surface.

- **Draw-Bias Design:** The clubface is angled slightly to promote a draw trajectory, which can help golfers who slice the ball find the fairway more consistently.

#### Top competitors comparison: the [Callaway Paradym X Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/callaway/paradym-x-2/l368433) and the [Ping G430 Max Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/ping/g430-max/l379779)

Similar to the Stealth 2 HD, the Paradym X prioritizes forgiveness and distance for golfers seeking more power from their fairway woods. However, Callaway achieves this through a Jailbreak A.I. Technology and a 360° Carbon Chassis. Jailbreak A.I. promotes stability and ball speed across the face, while the Carbon Chassis sheds weight for a high Moment of Inertia and forgiveness on off-center hits. While offering distance, Ping places a strong emphasis on forgiveness with the G430 Max. Their signature movable weight technology allows for customization to promote a draw bias and straighter ball flight. Additionally, the G430 Max features a larger head profile for added confidence at address.

#### Progression:

The Stealth 2 HD Fairway Wood retains the core functionality of the original Stealth Fairway Wood but takes significant steps towards increased forgiveness and launch potential. Here's a breakdown of the progression and key improvements:

**TaylorMade Stealth Fairway Wood (2022):**
- Offered a more traditional fairway wood design with a slightly smaller head profile compared to the Stealth 2 HD.
- Featured a higher center of gravity due to the head design and weight distribution. This results in a lower launch angle.
- Did not have an adjustable loft sleeve.
- Incorporated V Steel technology in the sole to promote smoother clubhead passage through various lie conditions.

**TaylorMade Stealth 2 HD Fairway Wood (2023):** The Stealth 2 HD Fairway Wood builds upon the foundation of the original Stealth Fairway Wood with advancements in forgiveness, launch potential, and potentially more distance:
- **Oversized 200cc Head** This is a significant upgrade. The larger head size offers a bigger sweet spot for more forgiveness on off-center hits and inspires confidence at address.
- **Lower Center of Gravity (CG):** The combination of the oversized head design and strategic weight distribution within the Stealth 2 HD creates a lower CG compared to the original Stealth Fairway Wood.
- **Draw-Bias Refinement:** The Stealth 2 HD retains the draw-bias design of the original Stealth Fairway Wood, but TaylorMade has refined it for more consistent draw tendencies and straighter ball flight for golfers who slice.
- **Material Advancements:** TaylorMade incorporated more carbon fiber construction in the Stealth 2 HD compared to the original Stealth Fairway Wood. This contributes to weight savings and allows for a lower CG for increased forgiveness.

#### What people are saying (edited for clarity and brevity)

**PROS:**

- Once settled in, the ball seems to jump off the face of the club.
- Great feel and control with these clubs. I used to worry about long fairway shots, but not now.
- Looks, feels great. With twist face, even off center strikes go further and straighter

**CONS:**
- There was a rattle in the head after the first round with club, only used it 4 times at most.
- I hit a single ball at the range this weekend and the club face cracked from side to side.
- I took it to the driving range, hit 1 ball, and there was a rattle in the club head.

Stealth 2 Plus

#### Product Description

The TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Fairway Wood is an excellent option for golfers seeking more distance and adjustability from their fairway woods. A key feature is the 50g Sliding Weight that creates three fairway woods in one. This weight track allows golfers to control launch, spring, and distance with a few twists of the wrench. Shifting the weight back promotes a higher launch angle while moving it forward creates a lower launch. The Stealth 2 Plus Fairway Wood also features a 2-degree loft sleeve for further adjustability. With the sliding weight system, golfers can dial in their launch and spin for optimal performance. While distance and control are priorities, the Stealth 2 Plus Fairway Wood doesn't neglect accuracy. The large, aerodynamic head shape inspires confidence at address, and the option for a draw bias design can help golfers who slice find the fairway more consistently.

**Perfect club for:** Golfers who want three different fairways in one.

#### Key features include:

- **50g Sliding Weight Technology:** Adjust a significant amount of weight (50 grams) back and forth within the clubhead via a track system.

- **Inverted Cone Technology:** The advanced face design is the thinnest at true center and around the edges. The thicker mantle surrounding center face maximizes speed and enhances durability.

- **Loft Sleeve (Adjustable):** Allows golfers to fine-tune loft to optimize launch trajectory and ball flight for their swing and course conditions.

- **Multi-material construction:** A technical blend of lightweight titanium, carbon, and steel optimizes weight distribution in the 170cc head.

- **Easy Alignment:** The advanced laser alignment system stretches across the top of the face, delivering a powerful alignment tool.

#### Top competitors comparison: the [Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/callaway/paradym-triple-diamond/l406998) and the [Titleist TSR3 Fairway Wood](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/golf/clubs/fairway-woods/titleist/tsr3-inventory-api/l318768)

Similar to the Stealth 2 Plus, the Paradym Triple Diamond prioritizes distance and performance.

The Stealth 2 Plus Fairway Wood takes the Stealth Fairway Wood's distance potential and adds significant adjustability. Here's a breakdown of the progression and key improvements:

**TaylorMade Stealth Fairway Wood (2022):**
- Offered a titanium construction throughout most of the clubhead.
- Featured the V Steel technology in the sole, which helped with turf interaction for smoother clubhead passage through various lie conditions.
- Incorporated an aerodynamic head design to promote clubhead speed and distance potential.
- Did not have an adjustable weight track or sliding weight system.
- Most models were not adjustable for loft.

**TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Fairway Wood (2023):** The Stealth 2 Plus Fairway Wood builds upon the Stealth Fairway Wood's foundation for distance and performance with advancements in adjustability, forgiveness, and more distance:
- **50g Sliding Weight Technology:** This is a major addition. It allows golfers to move a significant amount of weight within the clubhead to adjust launch angle. This weight track system provides more control over launch than the previous model's V Steel technology.
- **Loft Sleeve (Adjustable):** Stealth 2 Plus models now feature an adjustable loft sleeve. This allows golfers to fine-tune loft for launch and trajectory optimization, which was not possible on most Stealth Fairway Wood models.

#### What people are saying (edited for clarity and brevity)

**PROS:**

- I like the adjustability for the overall spin, just by simply moving the weight.
- Great Fairway wood. It gives me a good distance that covers the gap between my driver and hybrid.
- The consistent ball flight made me wish I had purchased this a year ago. I can hit the full range of shots, draws, fades, and straight shots on demand.

**CONS:**
- I think the feel and sound are a miss. Not bad, but I wouldn't spend all my money again if I had it to do over.
- The higher launch and associated loss in distance means that I may as well hit a long iron for the same distance and higher accuracy.
- You will need to play around with the 50 gram weight, as the launch can be higher than most low HC’s might like when it’s in the most rear position.

### Product Description

TaylorMade R11 fairway woods feature a new aerodynamic shape for faster speeds and longer distances with a white non-glare crown and black clubface for easy alignment. The Adjustable Sole Plate lets the golfer select an open, closed or neutral face angle for preference at address while Flight Control Technology provides simple loft adjustments with 8 different clubhead positions to choose from. The deeper face and deeper center of gravity (CG) give this fairway wood more penetrating flight for added distance and more workability. The TaylorMade R11 fairway wood features up to 60 yards of side-to-side trajectory change and +/- 500 RPM backspin change.

### Expert Notes

TaylorMade R11 Fairway Woods are very similar in design to the R11 driver with the adjustable sole plate to adjust the face. These clubs sit very well at address. Compared to the R9, the heads on the R11’s are larger in size, making these woods a bit more forgiving and giving you an extra confidence boost. You can be assured that you’ll experience good feel with these clubs and gain solid distance on every shot. Thanks to its ability to adjust by up to 60 yards side to side, the R11 can be used by any player looking to start shaping their shots on the course.
