**PROS:** 

- I love this club. It flies high, stops on green, and is a great fit at 145-150 yards for me.
- The Paradym launches at a nice trajectory and does it eaisly. No need to swing hard as the weighting system does all the work. 
- I’m happy with the 3HL. Easy to hit from the fairway, flies straight with good height. Excellent off tee, straight with good distance.


**CONS:**
- My only complaint is the glossy top coat, I much prefer the flat coating on my Rouge.
- Great off tee and fairway...poor in the rough.
- No way around it, Paradym clubs are expensive.

Callaway XR fairway woods made “Golf Digest’s Hot List-Only Fairway Wood” in the Golf Digest Hot List to receive five out of five stars for “performance.” There is a new Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup for improved distance and better forgiveness. You will really enjoy playing a round with this club, or even taking it to the range to hit a few balls. The full black head is a nice aesthetic touch, and these clubs feel very smooth upon impact. This club glides nicely on the turf and is easy to tee up as well, so you can swap it out for your driver if you need to change it up.

Callaway X Fairway Woods made their debut in 2007 and feature an X-Sole design that aids in an accurate alignment of the ball at address. The Short Straight Hollow Hosel (S2H2) helps reposition weight from the hosel to the perimeter of the club head, making it easier to hit the ball harder. A lower leading edge makes it easier to hit down under the ball, and provides solid and consistent contact through the impact area from any lie. Callaway X Fairway Woods are known to be long, fast, forgiving, and easy to hit.


### Expert Notes

The X fairway woods are an older model, but they still work quite well and are a solid option.  These woods feel hot off the club face, and have excellent turf interaction. You’ll experience high launch with a solid feel without all the adjustments of loft and lie. All in all, this is a classic club with no bells or whistles. You can play with it the way that it comes, without having to make any adjustments. These offer a smaller head than the current fairway woods that you’ll find on the market, but they still do their job and are an outstanding club. This is a great fairway wood option for a mid-handicapper. You will be able to make an effortless swing and see great results.
