Titleist TSR2 Driver

The Titleist TSR2 Driver features two key technologies for enhanced power and forgiveness. A lower center of gravity increases launch angle and carry distance, while the Variable Face Thickness (VFT) design boosts ball speeds on off-center hits. With a sleek design and quiet impact sound, the TSR2 feels light off the clubface, making it ideal for mid-to-low handicappers seeking to maximize distance and improve performance.

Perfect driver for:
Players who make contact across the entire surface of the face.

Key features include:

Improved AerodynamicsThe shape of TSR2 has been refined to make it as fast as possible through the air.
Player-Preferred ShapingRedesigned toe shape improves the face angle for a better look at address.
Multi-Plateau Variable Face ThicknessBuilds the face inward, layer by layer, to create nearly constant CT across the entire hitting surface.
Optimized Speed & StabilityThe CG has been shifted both lower and more forward to increase ball speed while improving launch and spin.
SureFit AdjustabilityPerfectly match the performance of TSR2 to the needs of each individual player, helping make purer and more consistent contact.

Top Competitors

The Callaway Rogue ST Max Driver offers a similar focus on distance and forgiveness for mid-to-lower handicappers. It features a large titanium clubface designed for high ball speeds and a forgiving overall design. A key differentiator is the use of Callaway’s A.I. Flash Face technology which uses AI to design a face pattern that optimizes ball speeds across a larger hitting area, offering forgiveness on off-center hits. The TaylorMade Stealth Plus Driver offers a slightly different approach, prioritizing adjustability and potential for lower spin for golfers who want more control over ball flight. It features a large titanium clubface designed for high ball speeds. The key differentiator is the adjustability features and potential for lower spin.

Progression of the TSR2 driver:

The TSRs are the third generation of the Titleist Speed Project that began with the TS series and continued with TSi models. There are three models in the TSR line:

  • The TSR2 which is a high-launch, low-spin “max” driver, balancing speed and stability.
  • The Mid-launch, mid-spin TSR3, which is the more adjustable option in a tour-preferred shape.
  • The TSR4 which is the low-launch, low-spin offering featuring an adjustable weighting system.
👍 Pros
I set my personal ball speed record 3 times. This driver is very forgiving and surprisingly pretty low spin.
Added 25 yards to my drive instantly. High recommended!
Looks good, sounds great, very forgiving and retention of ball speed on off centre hits plus great spin numbers.
👎 Cons
Not a good fit for me. Not as long or forgiving as I need a driver to be.
There is a rattling noise inside of my driver that I can't fix.
Really like this driver but it sounds lame on impact. Different than my prior Titleist driver and has taken some time to get used to.
The Titleist TSR2 Driver is a strong contender for golfers looking for a balance of distance, forgiveness, and adjustability. It features a multi-plateau variable face thickness design that translates to increased forgiveness and ball speeds across the face. Titleist also incorporated an adjustable hosel and weight system, so you can fine-tune launch angle and shot shape to dial in your perfect ball flight. Overall, if you're a golfer who wants a well-rounded driver that offers forgiveness, distance, and the ability to adjust your ball flight, the Titleist TSR2 Driver is a great option.
