The Voodoo is an older model. It's been discontinued and replaced by a new bat called The Goods. Both are very similar in design. The Voodoo is a heavier bat designed for larger players who want more power and distance. It's one of the better performers in that two-piece design; it's a composite handle with an alloy barrel, which means they call it a hybrid because it has both materials inside the bat (alloy and composite), giving it an enloaded feel.

For the 2018 season, the BBCOR-certified Louisville Slugger Select 718 baseball bat was all the rage among power hitters. The Select 718 features a slightly end-loaded feel that is ideal for heavy hitters. The composite handle combines with an aluminum barrel constructed from ST 7U1+ alloy. The result? A durable bat with great shelf life that will provide you with superior pop on contact. Select 718 bats also feature TRU3 technology that practically eliminates sting in the hands on mishits. This bat also doesn’t require much break-in, so you’ll be able to use it pretty soon after you purchase it. The Speed Ballistic End Cap extends the barrel length of the Select 718, which leads to better overall weight distribution and more control in the hitting zone.

After a hiatus in 2017 (there is no 717 bat), the 718 is a response to a number of collegiate players who were in love with the big swing of the 716. The 718 Slugger is recommended for strong players who want a heavy-swinging bat in the two piece hybrid realm. The good news is that Louisville Slugger makes bats for other types of hitters too. The 918 Prime would serve well for hitters that like a nice light swing and a decent sized barrel. The 618 works well for those who want the lightest swinging bat that Slugger makes. The 518 serves the needs of value-seeking, single-piece aluminum bat fans.​

Speed is indeed the name of the game for one of Easton’s flagship alloy bat series. The most recent 2022 Easton Speed bat has a one-piece composite construction, and
features the company’s Hyperlite material, which makes for an astonishingly fast swing. And while this release is beloved by us and others, many hitters have told me that
nothing beats the 2019 Easton Speed release, which became famous for its green handle, black barrel, and outstanding production at every level and age group. The 2018 Adidas Aero is a light swinging, big barreled two-piece bat that is easy on the hands and does a decent job of dampening sting. There is nothing remarkable about the connective piece of the bat. The most technically impressive feature of the 2018 Aero Burner is the end cap. This new piece allows for a slightly lighter design and longer barrel size. Aesthetically, this bat is a showstopper. The Aero Burner is a great option for players who prefer two-piece composite BBCOR bats, in the 33 or 34 inch size.
