* It's an end-loaded bat, but it's very easy to swing. You have full control when going through the strike zone, no matter where the ball is over the plate.
* This bat allows you to maximize your swing speed for high ball exit velocities. The sweet spot is huge and covers almost the entire barrel of the bat, making the ball jump off the bat."
* It’s been used for about a month for cage work and early season practice. The ability to consistently barrel or square up on a pitch is better than any bat on the market. The connect version does minimize the vibration.

* The grip is slippery. Even with batting gloves on it’s hard to hold on to it. Easy fix with a lizard skin grip.
* Bat knob fell off after 1st time using, no pop!
* Used for one game and the knob sticker has come off already.

The CATX Connect is a hybrid bat. It's a strong performer. It's top five in the hybrid market. Very easy to swing, very well balanced. There's a good nature to it; it doesn't dent. It's very durable. But it is an end-loaded bat and a two-piece hybrid, so it's more designed for the power hitter and for stronger players.

The Voodoo is an older model. It's been discontinued and replaced by a new bat called The Goods. Both are very similar in design. The Voodoo is a heavier bat designed for larger players who want more power and distance. It's one of the better performers in that two-piece design; it's a composite handle with an alloy barrel, which means they call it a hybrid because it has both materials inside the bat (alloy and composite), giving it an enloaded feel.

For the 2018 season, the BBCOR-certified Louisville Slugger Select 718 baseball bat was all the rage among power hitters. The Select 718 features a slightly end-loaded feel that is ideal for heavy hitters. The composite handle combines with an aluminum barrel constructed from ST 7U1+ alloy. The result? A durable bat with great shelf life that will provide you with superior pop on contact. Select 718 bats also feature TRU3 technology that practically eliminates sting in the hands on mishits. This bat also doesn’t require much break-in, so you’ll be able to use it pretty soon after you purchase it. After a hiatus in 2017 (there is no 717 bat), the 718 is a response to a number of collegiate players who were in love with the big swing of the 716. The 718 Slugger is recommended for strong players who want a heavy-swinging bat in the two piece hybrid realm. The good news is that Louisville Slugger makes bats for other types of hitters too. The 918 Prime would serve well for hitters that like a nice light swing and a decent sized barrel. The 618 works well for those who want the lightest swinging bat that Slugger makes. The 518 serves the needs of value-seeking, single-piece aluminum bat fans.​

* My son just got a new bat to replace his META and it's great! It's hot out of the wrapper, has a forgiving barrel and almost no vibration. He absolutely crushed the ball. We can't wait to see how it performs when it's fully broken in.
* If you like end-loaded bats, this one has surprising pop with low noise. It feels good when squared up and I personally love it. My rating is 8/10. 
* "This bat increased my exit velocity and feels smooth when swinging. It's the best bat I've ever used."

**CONS**



* This bat is heavy and can be hard to locate the barrel. I recommended for very strong players. If you swing a drop 5 alloy, try a drop 8 Zoa.
* Sounds dead. My son hates it. We bought this bat because of the good reviews. Its expensive and has no pop.
* Only downside is that the weather needs to be warmer or it will crack the bat due to it being all composite.

* I am pleased to say that my son has experienced an increased exit speed and longer distances. He has noticed that the bat has an expanded sweet spot, resulting in more comfortable hits with less sting.
* My son had a few mishits but the ball still came off decently, and he mentioned that there was no vibration. I would recommend this bat, especially for younger kids who are improving their skills but still want success.
* A go-to choice when under pressure. It has a large sweet spot, providing a ton of power. The bat is also easy to swing and consistently achieves a higher exit velocity off the tee compared to a Cat9 alloy and 23' meta.

**CONS**



* I purchased the -8 version, which has a small sweet spot. The knob is great, but the grip is not as effective. 
* If you are still 11, I suggest you get the drop ten because it has a bigger sweet spot and more pop due to its smaller aluminum content. Overall, it's a nice medium-swinging -8! 
* I was unaware that this bat was the Junior version and only recommended for Coach Pitch.

The CAT8 is an older model from 2019 and a good BBCOR and USSSA bat. Very good performing bat with a sound that players love. Lightweight and easy to swing. It's probably one of the best sellers, and since the CAT8 is still available, it's perhaps one of the better bang for the buck. Prices dropped for this older model. So, it is a good match for an entry-level player on a tight budget.

Rawlings legendary Velo series returned in 2022, with a Velo ACP release that I’ve heard hitters say offers unparalleled balance at the plate. Over time, the Rawlings Velo series has evolved by incorporating the ACP (Accelerated Carbon Performance) line that adds extra carbon in the barrel, which we’ve heard does a lot to increase pop. While Velo’s aren’t the best looking bats you’re going to find, they make up for the plainness with top-notch performance.
