Description

Used on precisely 15 runs before I bit it and ended my Jackson Hole trip with a busted leg. But that’s not why I’m selling them; I’m just in need of some cash so reducing the ol’ quiver. Feel free to ask for more detailed shots to show condition. FROM THE SKI MONSTER: Fischer took one of our favorite skis the Pink 102 and improved the heck out of it. Not just with color, this is more than just a graphic change, it’s a whole new ski. What’s different about the new Ranger 102? Well, it grips better on harder snow for one, and it blasts through chop and chunder with more confidence. The ski is still plenty playful, Fischer didn’t screw that up — phew. The versatility of the Ranger 102 is what makes it a Ski Monster favorite. Having tested these skis for almost a year on both coasts it’s fair to say the Ranger 102 is one of the most versatile skis you can buy. If you seek out soft snow, like to ski in the trees and want a ski that is easy to pivot and maneuver, the Fischer Ranger 102 is an incredible choice. If there was one ski you should bring on a trip and you weren’t sure exactly what the snow was going to be, but your [sic] optimistic — it’s the Ranger 102 — all day! FROM SKI ESSENTIALS: Then, of course, there’s the Ranger 102. This is basically the ski that put Fischer Rangers on the map in recent years. You’ve seen the pink ski at your local resort, you’ve seen people talk about it on social media. There’s some hype there for sure. The fact that Fischer wanted to change this ski did make us a little bit nervous, as the pink ski is great, but they nailed it. If anything, the new ski is just smoother and more supple, without giving up its versatility and fun factor. I will say that the new ski feels more directional to me, so maybe there will be some freestyle-focused skiers that prefer the previous version, but I think that’s going to be a very small percentage of skiers. This thing carves better than the outgoing ski, is quicker and more agile in tight terrain, floats better in soft snow, and if it loses a touch of park performance to gain all of those things, well that’s just fine by me. We also love the celeste color. The 2024 Ranger is unchanged from this 2023 ski. Marker Griffon 13 ID Bindings are mounted for 295 BSL.
