The Stallion 1K is the top midfielder head for sure. It's based on the original Stallion design that pro player Kyle Harrison used and designed for that two-way midfielder. The 1K has an improved stiffness, shape retention, and an updated scoop. PLL rookie, Nick Nakeie Montgomery, who ranked 28th in Duke history in career points, also uses this head. I like this head because it can be used both on the offensive side of midfield and the defensive side. It weighs in at about 4.7 oz, making it lighter than the current ECD DNA 2.0, StringKing Mark 2V, and Mark 2T.

* Hybrid flexes like this head may have issues with spooning, but it's still better than the original CEO. 
* The scoop is not great. It’s pointed so if the ball is not right in the center of the head, the ground ball will not work. Also, the head gets stuck in the ground if you're going on an aggressive angle. 
* The plug in the head creates a wobble on the shaft. I’ve broken 3 carbon shafts in 3 games in the same spot because the plug in the stick wedges and snaps the carbon.

With the CEO 2, Nike tried to step up the model slightly. They made the plastic more durable, so it would rebound a bit easier and hold its shape better than its predecessor. They reworked the scoop so you could win it forward to yourself more easily. They reworked the throat of the head so you could pinch and pop it backward without the head pinching too much. It's a head made for a faceoff guy.

It has a shorter throat on the head, which reduces the distance between the player's top hand and the ball so you have more control. This head was designed with the inside finisher in mind, with an increased feel and face shape for passing and shooting. With 20 sidewall holes, this head allows you to string the head any way you like.

* The Ion feels light and well-balanced. It allows for fast shots and accurate passing and catching. Cradling is comfortable.
* Surprisingly great. The clear plastic really looks awesome. Doesn’t feel brittle like the older clear plastic heads including the DNA diamond.
* This head has all the best qualities of the Maverik Optik 3.0 with an even tighter release. 

Cons: 



* I like this head - it's light and performs great. But, it's too fragile. I've had two breaks in 8 months at the throat. If it were more durable, it'd be the best ever.
* Used this new lacrosse head in college practice and after 7-8 months it cracked near the throat. Love the color and design but not perfect yet.
* It's been working okay for me. Was not easy at first to string the right pocket.

* I used the Havok for four years, then upgraded to the Havok 2.0. It's lighter, sturdier, and has a better face shape. The scoop is good and has 20 sidewall holes instead of 17. I would recommend it to anyone.
* Switched from the OG Havok to Havok 2.0. Improved stringing options and efficiency at picking up ground balls. Durable enough for checks.
* My sons love the Havok 2.0 head. I like the blue color so I can spot him from the stands!

Maverik made two changes with this head, the first being a tighter face for more ball control for defensive players who like to carry the ball. The second change is increased stiffness to the head to avoid warping when throwing a variety of checks.
