Callaway X Fairway Woods made their debut in 2007 and feature an X-Sole design that aids in an accurate alignment of the ball at address. The Short Straight Hollow Hosel (S2H2) helps reposition weight from the hosel to the perimeter of the club head, making it easier to hit the ball harder. A lower leading edge makes it easier to hit down under the ball, and provides solid and consistent contact through the impact area from any lie. Variable Face Thickness Technology (VFT) contributes to maximum ball speed and the internal perimeter weighting provides exceptional ball flight, distance, and forgiveness. Callaway X Fairway Woods are known to be long, fast, forgiving, and easy to hit.


### Expert Notes

The X fairway woods are an older model, but they still work quite well and are a solid option.  These woods feel hot off the club face, and have excellent turf interaction. You’ll experience high launch with a solid feel without all the adjustments of loft and lie. All in all, this is a classic club with no bells or whistles. You can play with it the way that it comes, without having to make any adjustments. These offer a smaller head than the current fairway woods that you’ll find on the market, but they still do their job and are an outstanding club. This is a great fairway wood option for a mid-handicapper. You will be able to make an effortless swing and see great results.
