Description

The Dice Lacrosse Training Aid is a lacrosse training aid meant for improving stick skills, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination. The cube like lacrosse ball bounces of surfaces at random and allows the user to practice catching "bad throws" or scooping up bouncing groundballs. Instructions Passing and Catching (Wall Ball) Passing and catching against a wall is the simplest way to get better at lacrosse. However as you become better, your passes will become more accurate and won’t challenge you catching poorly thrown balls. To become a better player, you need to have practice catching errant passes to become a dependable teammate. In order to add a little spice to your current wall ball routine, incorporate the Dice Lacrosse Training Aid. -Stand around 8 yards from the wall, and throw the ball against the wall. It will come off at random, catch it, and repeat. -Stand around 14 yards from the wall, throw the Die at the wall, let it bounce once (or twice!) and catch and repeat. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground Balls Have you ever heard a coach say “Ground Balls win games?”. Usually, the team with more ground balls wins the game. Being a great ground ball getter is an easy way to make a team or get yourself on the field, but ground balls are still one of the least practiced aspects of lacrosse, as it can be hard or boring to practice them by yourself. Here are a couple of drills you can do with the Dice Lacrosse Training Aid to ensure you never miss a ground ball. -At a field, lightly toss the Die up into the air and allow it to bounce, chase it down and pick it up. Repeat to your heart's content. -Have a friend or parent stand in the middle of the field while you stand about 10 yards from the edge of the field. Have your parent or friend toss or roll the ball to you while running towards it. This mimics the unpredictability of wingplay during a faceoff. -Stand and throw the Die four feet up in the air, allow it to drop and bounce, and try to catch it before it reaches the ground.
