The ECD Weapon X faceoff head was designed in collaboration with faceoff legend Greg "Beast" Gurenlian. The Weapon X aimed to reshape the faceoff landscape with its focus on its unique design: a proprietary blend of FlexForm material that offers strength and flexibility, strategically placed flex points throughout the head to enhance responsiveness and power transfer, and a short throat that brings your hands closer to the ball for increased leverage and control. 

The Weapon X wasn't just another faceoff head for ECD; it marked their entry into the high-performance market. Prior to this, ECD was known for its value-oriented products. The Weapon X, however, embodied a shift towards premium offerings designed to meet the needs of elite players.

* This lacrosse head is ideal for faceoffs as it bounces back and allows for controlled passes. The trade-off is that it is stiffer than traditional faceoff heads. 
* The stiffness is good for bigger players as the extra weight and strength come in handy during faceoff techniques like plunges.
* This is a great stick to face off and stay in the game without having it warp. 

CONS



* The biggest problem was finding a way to string the head that could match an offensive pocket as well as a face-off pocket. Took a couple of tries.
* The offset takes a while to get used to on faceoffs, and the head needs to be broken in before it’s usable for faceoffs.
* A little stiffer than expected.

The Weapon X was made to compete with the Nike CEO line and is popular amongst faceoff guys throughout college. The idea is that it will flex the same every single time. So, it won't flex a little bit lower; it won't flex a little bit higher. It will flex in the same spot, holding the same shape with its warp resistance technology. The throat of the head was made to be as pinched as possible without becoming illegal, so right around that 3” requirement.
