Gabriel Landeskog, affectionately known as 'Landy' among the Colorado Avalanche faithful, has been a constant presence on the Avalanche roster since donning his lucky number 92 jersey back in 2011. Originally hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, Landeskog has made the Rocky Mountains his home, and boy has he made a mark! Appointed captain at the tender age of 19, he became the youngest captain in NHL history at the time. He's known for his gritty style of play and his ability to find the back of the net, a combination that served him well when he was awarded the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie in 2012. Not to be confined to the NHL, Landeskog has also worn the Tre Kronor (Three Crowns) of Team Sweden in international competition, holding his own against the best in the world.
