The 808 is the deepest it gets in the line of Zipp wheels without becoming a disc. This wheel is designed with ultimate performance in mind. It is super stiff for high speeds, yet with its shape it handles like a shallower wheel. It performs so well, that the previously deeper 1080 had to be dropped from the line. The 808 is best used as a rear wheel, but can still work up front when it is not too windy out. The best thing about the 808 is it provides a disc-like feel without the inconvenience of a disc and greater versatility. This wheel is better suited for more experienced riders.
