Product Description
The Specialized Enduro looks similar to its downhill sibling, the Demo. That’s because it possesses many of the same characteristics. The Enduro is a super versatile bike, with 170mm of travel in the front and rear, which is plenty to make easy work of even the biggest hits. All of the bikes in the Enduro line come stocked with 4 piston disc brakes, offering lots of stopping power. The Enduro is designed with aggressive long, low, and slack geometry for a stable and confident bike at speed. Specialized has included their trademarked SWAT Door downtube storage integration system as an added perk.
Expert Notes
The Specialized Enduro is a true enduro racing machine. It closely resembles a full DH bike, yet can still be pedaled uphill efficiently. The bike may feel sluggish while pedaling without the suspension locked out. Enduro racing is a bunch of timed DH stages with untimed pedaling back up to each stage. This bike caters to that discipline perfectly; it can be pedaled uphill (ideally not for timed purposes), but really comes to life on the descents. For years now, the Enduro has been a top choice for riders looking in the long-travel suspension category. This bike is more tailored towards experienced riders who prefer rough steep descents at high speeds. Putting the bike to work really makes it come alive, but if you are a less experienced rider who can’t push it as hard you won’t get the full benefit of the bike. Riders who are looking to do more pedal-focused rides (without a ton of tough descents) will want to look elsewhere.
