Bauer Ultrasonic Goalie Full Set
The Bauer Supreme Ultrasonic goalie full set represents Bauer's top-of-the-line goalie equipment offering. It boasts features like the all-new Stabilislide Knee Block, designed to perfect the butterfly slide, and a 151-degree Shocklite Core for optimal positioning and flexibility. Within Bauer's history, the Ultrasonic line continues its legacy of innovation. It follows previous top models like the Vapor series, each iteration pushing the boundaries of design and technology. However, the Ultrasonic isn't just for pros. Bauer offers various levels of goalie equipment to cater to all skill levels, with the Ultrasonic sitting at the pinnacle for competitive play.
Key features include:
151º Shocklite Core Pro | Designed for optimal butterfly shape, the combination of CURV Composite and Shocklite foam creates a more durable and rigid core. |
Stabilislide Knee Block | The first knee block to be built into the core of the pad to reduce the pad's secondary movement while in the butterfly position. |
Catch Lite Palm and T Trap | The glove has a larger skate lace pocket double-T for a deeper catching pocket and a reinforced entire cuff with Curv for durability. |
Hypersense Blocker | It has a smaller palm, which eliminates excess material while holding your stick. It also has reinforced finger protection with Poron and a removable, adjustable index finger. |
Lightweight Construction | The entire Ultrasonic Goalie set prioritizes lightweight materials for enhanced mobility and reduced fatigue during games. |

Striking a balance, the Supreme Mach boasts a good mix of weight, flexibility, and a more traditional feel. The Vapor Lite+ core contributes to a lighter weight compared to previous Bauer models, but it maintains a structure that allows for powerful pushes and a stable base for aggressive goalies who like to challenge shooters head-on. The CCM Axis 2 Pro focuses on customizability. The Axis Strap System allows for personalized adjustments to achieve a perfect fit, while interchangeable components on the leg pads and blocker cater to individual preferences. The Curv Composite technology offers a good balance of flexibility and stiffness, providing a well-rounded performance for goalies who don't want to sacrifice mobility for structure.
Progression of the Bauer Ultrasonic Goalie Set
The Ultrasonic builds upon the legacy of the Supreme 1S and the 2S Pro. The biggest upgrade to the Ultrasonic pads is the completely redesigned knee stack. Calling it the ‘Stabilislide’ knee block, Bauer's designers integrated the knee stack directly into the face of the pad, creating a one-piece unit to eliminate any rotation issues and improve the seal and stability of the pad.
👍 Pros |

The stability and sliding are amazing on the Ultrasonic. It's a vast improvement over my other pads, which were only a few years old. |
The pads are easy to strap up – Bauer has lifted the strapping system from the Vapor line. I’m very happy they got rid of the CRS system they used with the previous Supremes. |
Rebounds off these pads are hot. If you’re playing hockey against people with serious shots, these pads are worth the money just for the rebounds! |
👎 Cons |

The professor strap is crap. It comes off in the middle of play and causes wear on the nylon pad. I replaced it with a leather strap. |
Supposedly, the dimpled texture makes rebounds more reliable instead of skimming off the pads' slick face and into the net on a narrower butterfly. Personally, I haven’t really noticed much of a difference. |
These really do require a pretty wide butterfly because they're quite stiff and don't have much of a curve. |
The Ultrasonic is super popular amongst pro goalies. It's probably the most popular line to date and holds its value over time. It's known for having an integrated knee block. Basically, Bauer took a bookend and put it inside a goalie pad, across the face and the inside of the knee, which is known as the Supreme Stabilislide. It was revolutionary for goalies to drop down in the butterfly and get a good seal and great rebounds. This knee block design leads to consistent sliding throughout the life of the gear. The Ultrasonic is known for having excellent durability, a great steal, and great rebounds. Bauer introduced digitally printed graphics with this pad, so you'll see some crazy custom graphics.
