Michael Alfred Gartner is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger who played 19 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Ten of those seasons were for the Washington Capitals. In 2017, Gartner was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in the league's 100-year history. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (HHOF) in 2001, Gartner has been a member of the HHOF Selection Committee since 2009, and its Chair since 2022.
