This skate is constructed with an ergonomic boot for a quality fit, and some stiffness to help with overall skating performance. The FT460 skate includes the top-end SpeedBlade Xchange System holder in the Senior model (the junior model uses the SpeedBlade 4.0 holder). The SpeedBlade XS provides players with an easy-to-use blade exchange system, allowing you to swap out a damaged or broken runner quickly and efficiently. To do so, simply roll the BladeLock dial until you feel resistance, then pull the damaged blade out. Replace your runner by lining up the notches of the steel with the spaces in the holder and turning back the dial to fully engage and lock in the new blade. With this technology found throughout the 2019 JetSpeed line, players at any level can replace a skate blade and be back on the ice in time for the next shift. Attached to the SpeedBlade XS holder on the senior model is the SpeedBlade XS Stainless runner (the junior model includes the SpeedBlade Stainless runner). This runner, also included in the high-end FT490 model, offers a long-lasting edge for great durability, especially for those players who skate infrequently and therefore can take more time in between sharpenings. Inside the boot, the FT460 includes symmetrical, multi-density memory foam around the ankles for added comfort and a personalized fit; an HD micro-fiber liner for good durability; and an anatomical response footbed for solid support. This model also includes a 7-mm felt tongue with embossed lace-bite protection for more comfort at the top of the skate. With plenty of features and a good amount of comfort and support, the CCM JetSpeed FT460 proves to be a high-performing model for this price point, and is a great choice for players who skate around once per month and need a pair of low-profile skates to perform their best.
