Actual team jersey (Unused, no nameplate or number) from the 2002 GCHL Champion Dallas Sabres hockey team. This jersey is from the original team owner's collection of official team jerseys. They were originally to be used for newly signed players or replacing damaged jerseys of active players but never got used. Fewer than a dozen of these unused game jerseys still exist. This professional, minor-league team was a part of the short-lived Gulf Coast Hockey League featuring the Sabres, the Texarkana Border Bandits, Houston Blast, Little Rock Wildcats, and several other teams from the Gulf Coast states who later backed out of the fledgling league. They played to sold-out crowds in Addison, Texas, and often drew over 6,000 fans when they played in nearby Texarkana against the rival Bandits. The team sold replica versions of this jersey design at home and away games, quickly becoming the best-selling design of the entire league. This particular jersey is an XXL game jersey, without a nameplate or number (other sizes are also available on this site). This size is perfect for a large display or for use with shoulder pads in actual gameplay for most adult men. It was custom-made by CCM in Canada with pro-stitching specs and includes a hand-sewn embroidered logo crest and shoulder patch.
