Description

This is a rare unused red Reebok jersey that was made for enforcer forward Krys Barch to wear in the Sept. 18, 2013 intra-squad scrimmage for the Phoenix Coyotes. Barch was in training camp on a tryout basis but was released before the game was played. The Coyotes had 25 red jerseys and 25 white jerseys made and most were auctioned off after the game with the money going to the survivors/family of 19 hotshot firefighters who died in a June 2013 wildfire in Yarnell, Arizona. (More than $165,000 was raised that night) These jerseys were all made in size 58 with the player's name sewn on the back along with back numbers and sleeve numbers. Only the jerseys that were worn in the game had the special Yarnell patch sewn on the front however. Barch played from 2006-2012 with the Dallas Stars and was with Florida and New Jersey in 2012-13 before getting his Phoenix tryout. He played for the Panthers again in 2013-14. Everything is sewn on this new-style Coyotes practice jersey that has a fight strap. Obtained directly from the Coyotes.
