The Top DeMarini Bats of 2023

DeMarini has long been one of the most popular bat producers around – and the 2023 season is no different. However, the company is currently facing some production and breakage issues with their newest models. Because of this, DeMarini’s notoriously high-quality bats are harder to get for sellers and customers than they’ve ever been.

But if you do manage to get your hands on one of their newer models, you won’t be disappointed by the on-field performance.

Let’s discuss some of the top DeMarini BBCOR and USSSA bats on the market for this upcoming baseball season.

2023 Voodoo One (BBCOR)

The DeMarini 2023 Voodoo One is a one-piece bat crafted with DeMarini’s signature X14 Alloy material, featuring a Refined Tracer End Cap and ultra-stiff composite materials that optimize barrel performance, along with a Reinforced Knob for a stiff feel. It’s currently retailing for $349.95 on the DeMarini website, and is only available in a BBCOR version.

Our Expert's Take

The 2023 DeMarini Voodoo One has been flying off of shelves since its release, and for good reason: it’s a lightweight, balanced, easy to swing bat that caters to contact-oriented hitters. The bat also comes in a gorgeous metallic gold color that makes it a personal favorite, based on looks alone. The 2023 DeMarini Voodoo One might be lightweight to swing, but it’s a heavyweight in the 2023 BBCOR market.

2022 The Goods Two Piece Hybrid

undefined

The 2022 DeMarini The Goods Two Piece Hybrid is, as the name suggests, a two-piece hybrid bat, featuring a X14 Alloy Barrel paired with an ultra-stiff Paraflex Plus Composite Handle and a newly redesigned Tremor End Cap. It’s currently retailing for $399.95 in a BBCOR version and $299.95 in a USSSA version, but can be found on SidelineSwap for about $300 and $200, respectively.

Our Expert's Take

The 2022 The Goods Two Piece Hybrid is a bat that’s meant for power hitters. Its composite handle feels extremely lightweight – you might even compare it to a golf club’s handle. This allows for some flex and whip action as the bat is swung through the strike zone. The flip side of that is it can feel relatively top heavy, so keep that in mind if you prefer a more balanced bat. This bat is best for stronger hitters who are in the lineup to drive in runs. If this sounds like you, this 2022 The Goods Two Piece Hybrid might be right up your alley.

2022 The Goods One Piece

undefined

The 2022 DeMarini The Goods One Piece is a one-piece, fully alloy bat with a X14 Alloy Barrel. The stiff one-piece construction allows for maximum stiffness, ultimate bat speed, and an ultra-responsive feel, and its design mirrors the feel of wood while delivering explosive energy transfer. The newly redesigned Tremor End Cap is composed of stronger materials to maintain barrel performance. It’s currently retailing for $349.95 in a BBCOR version and $249.95 in a USSSA version – you can find it for significantly less used on Sideline.

Our Expert's Take

Where the 2023 Voodoo One (which is priced the same as the 2022 The Goods One Piece) is meant for contact hitters, The Goods One Piece is meant for power hitters. If you’re up at the plate to deposit baseballs over the outfield fence, then keep this bat in your sights. It also comes in a beautiful black colorway that would look great with any jersey color.

2022 Zoa

undefined

The 2022 DeMarini Zoa is a two-piece, fully composite bat that’s designed for improved weight distribution and allows for great balance, bat speed and barrel control. It features an innovative Continuous Fiber Composite Barrel, which offers an elongated barrel profile, and the stiff composite material enables maximum energy transfer on contact. It’s currently retailing for $499.95 on the DeMarini website, but can be found in the $250-$300 range on SidelineSwap.

Our Expert's Take

Due to this bat’s exquisite balance and stiff handle - which keeps the bat from feeling top heavy - it caters more to contact hitters who want to swing fast through the strike zone. Looks-wise, this bat has a beautiful gold coloring that’s very similar to the 2023 Voodoo One, but it also features black and carbon fiber accents. While the 2022 Zoa is DeMarini’s highest priced bat to date, it’s sure to produce up to its high price point.

2022 Zoa Glitch

undefined

The DeMarini 2022 Zoa Glitch has a two-piece, fully composite construction that includes an insanely consistent Continuous Fiber Composite Barrel that’s optimized to create a massive, elongated hitting area. DeMarini’s Anomaly connection pairs this barrel with a stiffer handle that offers positive feedback on contact and a seamless energy transfer. Its Anomaly End Cap offers a blend of durable and lightweight materials to maintain barrel integrity and optimize performance. This bat is currently retailing for $399.95, and is only available in a USSSA version.

Our Expert's Take

The 2022 Zoa Glitch has been making waves in youth baseball, largely because of its aesthetic appeal. Unlike any other bat in the DeMarini line (and most other bats on the market) this USSSA model comes adorned with yellow, pink and blue graphics that create for a colorful and eye-catching bat. But don’t worry: this bat’s performance will match the high standards its look has set.

Conclusion

DeMarini has cemented itself as a top dog in the metal bat industry. The consistent, high-quality, and intricately crafted both (inside and out) offerings they bring to the market always sell well and receive rave reviews from players at all ages and skill levels. Baseball players have loved DeMarini bats in the past, they love them now, and they’ll continue to love them in the future.
