The CPX-R is a very light helmet. It has less protection than the higher-end models, especially in head-to-head collisions. An eight-year-old isn't going to get hit by a 200-pounder, so they don't need all the extra materials that adult helmets have. Also, there is no sizing with the CPX-R, as the helmet has a pinch-able adjustment feature at the base of the neck.

Helmet was used for one year.  Son was a goalie.  Neck guard can be removed. Very minor scuffs and scratches, excellent condition.  Helmet is adjustable, large size.  My son’s head measurement is 22 inches.  Manufactured in 2022. I have removed the team decals from helmet.  See photos for condition.
